MISSION TRIP QUESTIONS

You can find a copy of our mission trip policies on any registration page.

You cannot register for a trip without having your deposit ready. However, in some rare instances, and only if possible, we might be able to allow an extension for your registration. Contact info@oneplusgod.org, to see if such arrangements would be possible in your specific case.

Absolutely!
For cash: Contact info@oneplusgod.org, to make arrangements to receive the cash from you and get you registered offline.
For check: Make your check payable to OnePlusGod, mention the trip or retreat you are registering for in the memo line plus your cell number, and mail it to 389 E. Church St, Marion, OH 43302, to reach us on or before registration deadlines. Your registration will be entered offline once your check has been received.
Note: If registration for a trip or retreat have filled up by the time your money or check had been received, OnePlusGod cannot guarantee you a spot and your money will be returned to you.

All funds raised over and above your trip fee will be applied to a project that the missionaries you are about to visit on this particular trip are currently involved with.

After your registration you will receive a payment schedule within 3 business days, outlining your payment schedule in detail. With most trips this will imply your registration fee, followed by 2 or 3 further payments on certain target dates.

Checks should be made payable to OnePlusGod, mention the trip name and date, as well as the person you are supporting in the memo line (e.g. Haiti June 2016, Andy Carter), and mail it to 389 E. Church St, Marion, OH 43302. All checks received will be reflected within 3 business days on your online fundraising page.

You have till the final registration date as displayed on the website (www.OnePlusGod.org) for each trip, however if spots fill up before the deadline, then registration will close sooner.
Important: Remember the sooner you register the longer time you will have to invite family and friends to donate towards your online fundraising page, that you will receive 3 business days after registration.

This will be different for some trips, but generally almost anybody can go. We have trips that can work very well even for children as young as 10, and for most of the trips even people older than 70 can go. Children can even go without their parents accompanying them, as we will make special arrangements to take care of your child.
Some of our trips are shorter and with less high impact activities so that even people with certain type of medical restrictions, or business people with limited time can go!
You can also be anywhere in the States, or anywhere in the world, to go on a trip with OnePlusGod. If necessary we will contact you to present a cost analysis tailor made for your situation.
For some of the trips it would be difficult for pregnant women, certain age groups or people with some medical conditions. You are welcome to contact Caitlyn to see if your specific situation requires special attention, or perhaps a trip at a later date: caitlyn@oneplusgod.org.

Children as young as 10 are already good to join a trip, but 12 and older is definitely time to let them experience this. To create a missions mindset for life it would help to send them on a trip between 10 and 14, again between 15 and 18, and once more between 19 and 22. This way your child will fall in love with the missions’ field and simply stay involved for the rest of their lives.
This is a spiritual investment that is well worth it!

You are able to take two carry-on luggage bags. A back-pack with these dimensions after packed: 16 x 14 x 12 inches, and a roller carry-on bag or a duffle bag, with these dimensions after packed: 22 x 18 x 10 inches.
For trips to Haiti and Jamaica you will not be allowed a personal checked bag on the trips, as we use these to take supplies to the missionaries. You will however receive a bag at the airport, already packed, within the correct size and weight limits, and paid for, to check in and take with you to the missionaries.
For trips to Thailand, Indonesia and Africa you would also be allowed one personal checked bag, of which the baggage fee is already included in your trip fee. The dimensions of this checked bag should be 62 inches (157 cm) when you total length + width + height, and should not weigh more than 50 pounds (23 kg) after packed. As with trips to Haiti and Jamaica you might receive another bag at the airport that will already be packed, within the correct size and weight limits, and paid for, to check in and take with you to the missionaries.

You will receive detailed information on exactly what to pack in which bags during your first training session for your trip.

You will find everything you need to know on the webpage of the retreat that you wish to register for, but you will also receive an email with final and detailed information about your retreat on the Friday, one week before the arrival date of your retreat.

Our commitment is to leave the USA to the country of destination WITH you. Our intention is that from the moment you leave USA soil till the moment you’re back on USA soil you will be with your OPG Trip Leader all the time. For this reason our office will help you with your domestic travel arrangements from an airport close to you to the airport from where we will leave the States. We want to make sure that times, connections and communications line up and work out so you meet up perfectly with your Trip Leader and your group before your international departure. Great news about trip fees: We strive to keep trip fees as low as possible, and therefore work with you to find the cheapest possible domestic airfare, so that the cost impact on your trip is as low as possible. In other words, you simply pay your trip fee (that includes your international travel), and then add to this the price for the domestic airfare.

If you are registering for a trip to Haiti and you see the trip fee includes domestic flights from Ohio/Michigan to Florida before departure to Haiti, but you would like to fly from for example California to meet up with the team in Florida, the following will happen: We will deduct the domestic ticket price from the total trip fee, and add the domestic airfare of your California-Florida ticket to present to you your new trip fee.

Most of time our trip fees are based on flights leaving from Columbus, Ohio or Detroit, Michigan for flights to the Caribbean (Haiti and Jamaica). Flights to Africa or the East usually leaves from Chicago, Illinois, and if you are from the Columbus, Ohio area we mostly travel together with carpool or van to the airport.

Absolutely! Please contact info@oneplusgod.org to make arrangements and connect with a staff member.
